If you’re on the hunt for a new bra, our size guide will help ensure you’re buying one that fits you perfectly. First things first, make sure you know your breast shape. This will help you discover the best styles for you. Once you’ve identified the styles that will work best for you, it’s time to identify your size. Take the time to calculate your bra size at home or opt for a free no- obligation professional fitting.
If you’re bra shopping and don’t know what size to go for, we’ve got you covered. Measuring your bra size at home is as simple as 1-2-3. Find your perfect fit in these 3 simple steps. Alternatively, you can pop into your local Bendon store for a complimentary bra fitting.
First things first, you will need to identify your band size. The bra band is the part of the bra that wraps around your back. All you’ll need to measure this is a measuring tape. To identify your brand size, simply measure around the body, directly below the bust. Take note of the measurement in centimetres. Then move on to step 2.
Secondly, you’ll need to measure your cup size. To determine your cup size, measure across the fullest part of the breast. Be sure to note down the measurement in centimetres, then you can move on to calculate your bra size.
Once you have your band and cup size, use the size chart to find your perfect fit. Simply identify your underbust and overbust measurements on the chart to calculate your bra size at Bendon. Once you’ve identified this, you can move on to the fun part. Discover our range of stylish bra styles, we’ve got something for everyone, so you’re sure to find a bra style you’ll love.

If a bra size doesn’t work for you, there will be a sister size that will. This is essentially a bra-size equivalent. This will help you to make minor adjustments to give you the best possible fit. For example, if you’re wearing a 12C and the cups fit, but the band is small, you might think “I’ll just go up a band size and try a 14C.” However, the correct sister size to 12C is a 14B, which is the new size to try instead. The cups will still be the same size, but the band will be roomier. The general rule of thumb is that if you go up a band size, then go down a cup size - and vice versa.
We recommend that you get fitted once every 12 months. However, if you notice your body is changing you should get professionally fitted, regardless of how recently you were fitted. A woman's body can change due to puberty, pregnancy and due to fluctuations in weight. Wearing the correct bra size promotes good breast health, it’s important to keep an eye on any changes in breast size.
